Happy 32 more days until the wedding family and friends!

I just got back from a very short trip to the Inland Empire. Tonight my mom and I went to Alfred Angelo's in Upland to "pick up" my wedding dress and do the first fitting. Everything went so smoothly. The bridal salon messed up a certain part of the order, but they were so quick to fix it! I love the lady who is altering the dress. She is so matter of fact and very professional. After having a very short dinner with my mom, I drove, with my eyes half shut, home to my/"our" little house. When I got home I was greeted by the first package that Doug and I would receive that says "Doug and Beth". It was from Jonilyn! Our engagement pics are in! I am going to include some of my favorite shots of hers! She is truly an amazing and talented artist. I could not be more pleased with the way these pictures turned out! Thank you Jonilyn! Good Evening Family & Friends!

I hope that you are staying dry in this very wet and gloomy final weekend in January. We are t-minus five weeks away from the big day! We couldnt be more thrilled! It is now getting down to the grind! My mom and I have a goal of having everything completely assembled and ready to go by next weekend. It is feasible, but is going to be a lot of hard work. The hours seemed to slip by a little too quickly this weekend. My mom and I ran from store to store trying to find the last minute items that we need for the wedding and for set up. All I know is that my wedding is really becoming a dream lived out! Most of you know that I am obsessed with pictures and taking pictures. This weekend we got back the rest of the engagement pictures from our wonderful photographer Jonilyn. We are going to use her prints to decorate all around the reception hall. I will not include too many pictures, but let's just say, the entire place will be filled with so many captured moments and memories. Thank you again, Jonilyn for capturing those special times for us!

After running around like mad women, my mom and I were able to share the joy of wedding planning with the ladies of my church. Oh my goodness are they a

mazing! To be honest, they have already been caught up in this whirl wind since the moment Doug and I announced our engagement. Every lady has been so willing to help in any way possible. I found myself drooling over their precision and care this afternoon. This afternoon we hosted a wedding work party after church. The wonderful ladies of my church took time out of their busy lives to pay close attention to how they need to set up the tables at the reception hall. They took great care and detail to make sure each luminary glass was cleaned to perfection. They also spent a tireless amount of time personally assembling our toasting glasses! Each lady is also doing some very special things to help make our wedding day a dream! Thank you ladies for all of your hard work and time. When you all see these ladies running around the hall, please be sure to thank them. You will not be able to miss them. They will have lovely corsages and will probably be running all around the hall! Thank you ladies.

Now I would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to my lovely ladies who are helping with the big day (and maintaining my mom & my sanity):

The leader of the pack:: My Mama!

My mom has seriously devoted her entire life to making sure that this wedding goes as smoothly and beautifully as possible! My mom works full time for the water district and then comes home and works full time on wedding stuff. We ran around for about eight hours a day each day this weekend (and throughout Christmas break and many other weekends) and she still manages to devote even more time to make my/our day so special! When you walk into the reception hall and see the placemats, it is in that moment that you witness her genius! I am talented at this wedding stuff, but she has really been the brains behind the science of this wedding. I have merely had to add my finishing touches. Its been so great to have my mom do all of this. She knows me so well and thus she has been able to really pick apart my dreams and make them a reality! THANK YOU MOMMY! NOW GET SOME REST!

Introducing... Diane

Diane is one of those ladies who earns the title "Hostess with the Mostess." She has a knack for perfection and an eye for quality. Diane, along with Cheryl, is saving the day as far as food goes. Diane works tirelessly to make sure that all the food is in place as far as quantity and quality. She will be making much of our feast. While we are catering from two different places, she is tying everything so nicely together with her culinary touch. Thank you Diane for your hard work with the food, set-up, and decorating! You are a Godsend!

Introducing Cheryl

Cheryl will always have a special place in my heart. She is a very close friend of the family. From the moment we arrived in the San Bernardino area, she was incredibly welcoming and helpful! I would also like to say CONGRATS to her as she is a new grandma! :) Cheryl is also on the food, set-up and everything crew! Cheryl is an excellent chef and will be preparing some wonderful appetizers, fondue food components, fruit salad, and chinese chicken salad. She is also helping my mom out with my shower. Cheryl, I appreciate your unconditional love and kindness. Thank you for being such a huge part of our family! Thank you also for the peace of mind and love that you bring to our family!

Introducing Judy

Judy has been such an angel! She is also my kindred spirit! Every Sunday she has been so great about checking in with me and the progression of the wedding. She also has an eye for perfection. Judy has also been a God-send. She has also been so great about turning the glory to God in this entire wedding process! Thank you for all of the ribbon cutting, table perfecting, and prayers! You are helping to make this day so incredible!

Introducing Carla

Carla is my mom's church best friend. They are choir buddies, scrapbooking buddies, and kindred spirits! Carla also has a knack for the HGTV/Style type fashions. She is hip and in style. She was so cute when she brought her intense craft bag to the assembly meeting today! Thank you for all of the wonderful moments of laughter and joy! We can't wait til Caitlyn's confirmation! We know you will style that up!

Introducing Kim

Kim is such a wonderful woman! She is also crazy involved in the community and girl scouts. I really appreciate her sparing her time to help out. With all of her experience, I know that my set-up and decorations are in good hands! She and her husband Ron have been so great about encouraging Doug and me in our engagement! She certainly is a wonderful mother and woman of God! Thank you for your help!

Introducing Hannah

Hannah will get a separate introduction, as she is going to be my acolyte! She will not be able to be a part of the day of set-up crew, but she certainly sacrificed her time today (and next week) to help us set-up for the wedding! Thank you Hannah! You are a doll and I am so happy that you are a part of my life. You truly are a beautiful and amazing young woman. I know that your parents are so proud of you! More on Hannah to come soon!

Thank you ladies for everything! You are a gift from God! We could not do this without you!

Attire for the Wedding Day

Hello family and Friends!

As the wedding day draws near, I am sure that many of you are wondering, what should I wear? Well, the bride-to be is here to answer your attire questions!

While this is not a black tie event, our wedding is also not being hosted on the beach. The proper attire would fall along the lines of snappy-cas! Girls, you do not need to show up in a prom dress and guys, leave those tuxes in the closet.

For ladies, a cocktail dress, sun dress, or your Sunday best would do just great! I would suggest you layer, since our wedding is in March. Just remember, the ceremony will be held in the church and the reception will be held in an amazing hall in Rancho Cucamonga. We will dance the night away! Dress accordingly!

For all of you gentlemen: I know that it used to be like pulling teeth to get Doug to wear a tie to special occasions. Doug is a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy. If you would like to just wear slacks and a dress shirt/nice shirt/sweater, that is of course suitable. I am a sucker for ties, so slacks, shirt and tie is, of course, welcomed and encouraged.

If you have any further questions on attire, please feel free to e-mail us at anytime. The main thing is that we want you, our special guests, to feel comfortable.

The Busy Bride to Be and her ladies (Mama included)!

Hello All!

Happy Friday. I hope that the rain is not getting any of you down. I just arrived at my parents house a couple of hours ago. Just before that I dropped Doug off at the airport so that he could see his wonderful parents (and sister) too. I am sure Doug's weekend will eventful and a much needed respite before what my Grandpa, Bompy, has fondly named W-Day. Just an FYI for all of you out there, Bompy is a miliatry man. Yes, start laughing at that reference. This weekend, I know, will be incredibly busy in the Kaelberer household. My mom already started early with my fabulous church cherubs today. After a five hour event of reviewing the reception site, going over table settings, decorations, food, set-up and so much more, the ladies were still as willing as ever to help in any and every way possible! I can never say enough thank yous to Cheryl Smith, Diane Kline, Susan and Judy Parker, Carla Del Rio (and of course so many more who are going to help on that day).

Most of you do not know this. A very nice woman from Style TV contacted us at the prospect of hosting our wedding on their show "Who's Wedding is it Anyway?" While the thought of having our wedding televised was fun, we decided against it in the end. But, boy, would our wedding set-up proven to provide so much entertainment for viewers. These ladies (and anyone else that we can enlist to help) will only have an hour to set up the reception hall. We are projecting a guest list of about 225 (get those RSVPs in!!!). These ladies are absolutely amazing. I have no doubt that all of it will get done and with style and grace. All I know is that we could not pull off our big day without these ladies! Also, I need to send a huge shout out to the mother of the bride! Thank you for your tireless hours to make sure that all of my dreams are coming to a perfect fruition!

On a side note: If there is anyone else who would like to help these wonderful women out on the big day, please e-mail me and let me know!

Look out for pictures. We are having a huge (or I guess more of a follow up meeting) after church on Sunday. I will be taking pictures of all of these wonderful ladies. I will update this post with pictures on Sunday or in the beginning of the week.

As I was beginning to sign off-line tonight, I went and checked in with my knot planning page. I saw that I had an update on the signing of the guestbook. The above message is from a wonderful church friend and mentor, Chuck Stringham. We have been so overwhelmed with all of the love and support that we have received from so many married people with so much experience.

Thank you Chuck. Anyone should feel free to send those wonderful words along the way and SIGN OUR GUEST BOOK!

Also, dont forget to RSVP for the wedding. Those reply cards are due back February 1st! If we dont get them in the mail, you will receive a personal call from the Bride-t0-be (not the bridezilla). Below is a picture of Doug and I opening up those RSVP cards!

Introducing Jill Haller!

For those of you who know Jillie, you know that she is a drama queen (in a GOOD way). She has done so many w

onderful things in her life that I could spend a billion years describing this amazing woman. I have known Jill since I was four years old! I used to play around with her brother in our Junior High days, and Sherri (her mom) has always been a close friend and confidant of the family. Her wedding to Mike (we wish you could be here), was actually the very first wedding that Doug and I went to together! Doug was a little uneasy about the whole thing at the time, after all, it kind of was a big step. But that same night, Doug told me he loved me on top of Strawberry Peak! Thanks Jill for setting the romantic mood. I have always loved and admired Jill. Jill coined the saying "If you are fabulous and you know it you always wear pink." Hey college friends, remember my pink phase sophomore year of college? Yeah, that was probably influenced by Jill. You know how I like to call myself a hip hop dancer. Yeah, the dance influence was Jill again. Jill, you have been everywhere in my life and I am so happy to have you right near me on my wedding day! I will never forget discovery camp when we were dancing around in our PJS (well actually you in a robe) to the B52's- love shack! I cant wait t

o dance around with you the morning of my wedding and GET READY!!!!!!!!! That day just would not be complete without you. I know that I have talked on and on about how I love you, but Doug loves you too. It was a real pivotal moment of excitement when we found out you were flying out all the way from Ohio! Jill we love you and appreciate you! Thank you for helping to make our wedding so memorable!!!!!! You are going to help make my face beautiful with the Hawaiian beauty theme! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH JILLIE!!!!!!!!!!! Alright everyone.... stay tuned for so much more! The couple that stays together.....

Dear Family & Friends,

I titled this post, "The couple that stays together...". Im sure you noticed the ellipses. While the cliche goes "the couple that stays together prays together" or "plays together" I just simply cannot reduce the meaning behind those words to that simple statement. Thus, with this verbose opening, I would like to introduce our marriage counselor, Pastor Darin Stone. He is making sure that we have all of the Biblical (as well as personal) counseling that we need to make sure that we are honoring each other and our Lord in our marriage. We are so incredibly grateful to Pastor Darin for taking out so much time to meet with us. He sets aside times on his Saturday morning through Saturday afternoons to make sure that we are guided throughout this engagement process. What makes him so incredibly unique is that he is also going to continue to counsel with us after the marriage! We are so INSANELY blessed to have you. God is doing so much in us through him.

Some info on Pastor Darin: Pastor Darin is married to a wonderful woman, Rebecca. They have one daughter. Her name is Sarah. Pastor Darin works as an associate pastor at the church we attended when we lived in San Diego, Harbor Presbyterian Church. He is college ministry Pastor. He is an excellent preacher and teacher. What we love the most about Pastor Darin his how real he always is with us. Pastor Darin has not only become a counselor and confidant, but a lifelong friend. Thank you for your counselor. Thank you Rebecca and Sarah for sharing your husband/dad with us. As a pastor's daughter, I know how it is to share! Doug and I APPRECIATE YOU!!!!!!!

If you are in the San Diego area and dont have a church and are searching for one, go check out Harbor! You certainly will be pleased. Doug and I miss Pastor Darin and the Harbor community so much!!!!!!!!
